A TV AI companion concept. By turning a smartphone into an AI companion, the TV is able to use it to sense body motion and arm and hand gestures. This leads to improved and new interactive ways for the TV viewing experience. The 2 part system is comprised of 1) a phone cradle, that interfaces with the TV, and 2) a cradle dock that has a motorized plate, allowing for user tracking with a wider field of view. The design aesthetic moved in a minimal but functional direction. This allowed for the smartphone to be seen prominently, next to the TV, as a companion device for deeper user interactivity.
